Phoenix Edition: Top 5 Restaurants

I travel around the world to eat. When in Phoenix, I questioned: what is there to eat in Phoenix? I mean, besides the mountains and the cacti, what will make my tummy happy? After some quick Yelp and Google searches, I had my eyes on couple spots, and these 5 places were the most memorable for me. If you are going to visit Phoenix, or from the area, I definitely recommend them if you’ve never been!

In no particular order, here are my top 5 restaurants/cafes in Phoenix.

Highlights:

  • Separate bar, patio, and dining area
  • Baby Back Ribs are mind blowing good
    • Best I have ever had!!
  • Service is on par with a $$$$ restaurant
  • Q Rolls are a must get for an appetizer
  • A unique mix of atmosphere between casual and romantic date night
  • A huge drink menu to choose from

Lowlights:

  • You need a reservation since they are very busy

La Santisima

Highlights:

  • Authentic Mexican food, one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to
  • Massive portions
    • 3 people can possibly get away with only 2 mains
  • Adorable sauce/dip station for nachos with great variety
  • The margaritas are a must try
  • Love the interior decor!

Lowlights:

  • No reservations and usually there’s a wait

Rustler’s Rooste

Highlights:

  • Rattlesnake and Prickly Pear Cactus Fries, come on!
  • Cinnamon butter with bread to start
  • Menu is printed on a newspaper for you to keep!

  • Lower floor smells like a barn

  • The best cupcakes I have ever had
  • Not too sweet, not too buttery that will make you sick after eating one cupcake
  • They sell AMAZING Mexican Wedding Cookies
  • Exotic, unique cupcakes and cookies
  • Lovely, clean shop with private parking lot

Lowlights:

  • The prices are slightly steep for a cupcake
